PTA
PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION
Our PTA
Our PTA, registered as a charity at Friends’ School Lisburn, includes teaching staff at the school and all parents who have paid the annual membership fee. Their primary objective is to enhance the school’s facilities and promote the education of our pupils.
The PTA works in collaboration with teachers to identify areas for improvement and provide support to make them a reality. It also organises social events that aim to cultivate positive relationships between staff and parents.
Strong partnerships between home and school are an important part of life at Friends’ and we hope that parents will be actively engaged with PTA and will help shape the educational experience of our young people.
With the 250th anniversary approaching, this is a unique opportunity to be involved in this aspect of school life and to help make this celebration one to remember.
In the 2023/24 academic year, the PTA successfully fulfilled 100% of funding requests, enabling the acquisition of Chromebooks for the library, rugby kits for the girls’ teams, mini libraries for English classrooms, a captivating history wall in the History corridor, boomwhackers for the Prep, an Apple Mac for Moving Image Arts, a generous contribution to the Model United Nations conference in Dublin, and a plan cabinet for the Art department.
